Russia's Pipeline Natural Gas Exports to China Hit Record High

According to a report by RIA Novosti on July 23, an analysis of Chinese customs data indicates that Russia's pipeline natural gas exports to China in June hit a record high of $737 million.
In June, the export value of Russian pipeline natural gas to China rose by 3.4% compared to the previous month and increased by 29% year-on-year. Previously, this figure had only exceeded $700 million twice, in February and May of this year, with export values of $713 million each.
In the first half of this year, the export value of Russian pipeline natural gas to China increased by 17.4% year-on-year, reaching nearly $4 billion, compared to $3.4 billion in the first half of the previous year.
During the first half of this year, Turkmenistan remained the largest supplier of pipeline natural gas to China, with an export value of $4.8 billion.
